About The Founder
Founder Candice Shubbie has been working her marketing magic across a wide range of business categories since 1998. Early career highlights include supporting the award winning Sony Music team that introduced record breaking group Destiny’s Child to the west coast market, and also launched the Grammy’s "1999 Album Of The Year," The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill. It was then she chose to spend her career creating brand success stories as a result of her creative thinking, strategic planning, and enthusiastic attitude. Once digital music burst onto the scene, she had the foresight to switch sides and take her talents to top global advertising agencies in Los Angeles and New York. After her time in New York, where she gained experience launching and promoting consumer goods and services at local and national levels, she relocated her skill and expertise to Washington, DC. It was in the nation’s capital, where she spent nearly a decade directing all business development and marketing efforts for an expanding small business within the Walter E. Reed Washington Convention Center, and subsequently, the D.C. Lottery, where she managed all marketing efforts and advertising spending for six major brands that represented 81% of the D.C. Lottery’s sales portfolio.
Through her personally-coined process of Business Therapy, Chaos Control, and Experience Design, Candice brings her vast brand category knowledge, as well as her experience in both the private and public sectors to PROJECT40 Consulting. Now bi-coastal, but based in Southern California, Candice believes that once you generate buzz, you must feed the bees! Her clever strategies create custom solutions for small brands that result in Fortune 500 results!
